The Venturing District is proud to provide many opportunities for fun and excitement for all Venturers across the Council.

Denver After Dark

October 14-15, 2011. Hosted by our friends in the Exploring District, this event is open to Venturers to spend Friday night to Saturday morning travelling to various work sites that are open outside of the "normal" 9-5 hours. Past tours have included the county jails, fire stations, Bonfils Blood Center, Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital, Denver Health (see the emergency room), the 911 communications center and others.   • Venturing Officers Association Meeting (10455 W. 6th Avenue, Ste. 150, Denver, CO 80215, US): 11/8/2018 7 PM - 9 PM

    Venturing Officers Association (VOA) Meetings Scheduled

    The purpose of the Venturing Officers Association (VOA) is to provide support and guidance to maintaining and growing the Venturing program within the Denver Area Council.  You do not need to be an Officer in your home unit to attend meetings or to serve as a VOA Officer.

    The DAC VOA meets the second Thursday of every month starting at 6:00 p.m., with a fun activity planned at Colorado Adventure Point from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

    Venturing Committee Meetings

    Both Adults and Youth Are Invited

    The Venturing Program Committee meets once a month to discuss how to provide leadership and service to the Venturing Program by supporting and providing program for youth. All Venturing adults and youth are welcome to attend. Pizza is ordered - $5.00 per person.

    Meetings are held at Denver Policie Departement's District One Police Station.

  • 2019 Snow Snake (173 County Road 96, Ward, CO 80481, US): 1/4/2019 5 PM - 1/6/2019 12 PM

    The Snow Snake Rendezvous is the annual Venturing winter camp out. Snow Snake is planned and programmed by youth members so you know the program will be fun and exciting. The theme for the 2019 Snow Snake is:

    Winter at Tahosa!

    Join us on Friday thru Sunday, January 4 - 6, 2019 for winter fun at Tahosa High Adventure Base, 173 County Road 96, Ward, CO 80481. The nights are filled with board games, movies, bonding, and surprises. The days are filled with fun activities that Ventures and Scouts can take place in. Ice fishing, broom ball, snowball slingshot, snow shoeing, cooked meals, and healthy competition are some of these events! Snow Snake is an awesome place to get to know other Scouts and Venturers in the Denver Area Council. It also will give you a chance to learn about some of the things going on in the council. Sleeping accommodations and meals will be provided. So get ready to have a fun-filled weekend with some close friends.

    Important! We will need to have at least 25 participants signed up by December 4, 2018 to hold this event. Sign up early! As an incentive for early registration, we're offering an Early Bird discount.

    Cost:

    November 1 - December 4     $30
    December 4 - December 30   $35

    After December 30 walk-in's will be $40, so please plan ahead!

    Everyone will need a BSA Health Form parts A & B to participate.

    Snow Snake is open to all Venturer's, Boy Scouts and Youth ages 14-20!
