Snow Snake Rendezvous

The Snow Snake Rendezvous is an annual winter adventure; a project of the Venturing Officers Association. Snow Snake is planned and programmed by youth members, so you know the program will be fun and exciting. The nights are filled with board games and movies. The days are filled with activities from ice fishing, snowshoeing, sledding and more; there is something for everyone. Snow Snake is a Tier 2 activity and the event features the opportunity for Venturing advancement, awards and more. Snow Snake is the first weekend in January at Tahosa High Adventure Base.

WinterFest

Winterfest is the world's largest annual gathering of Explorers and Venturers; a weekend of fun and competitions. A project of the Northeast Georgia Council, held the second weekend in February in Gatlinburg, TN.

Absurdly Formal Venture Ball

The Denver Venturing Day, a project of the Venturing Officers Association, a night of fun and Venturing. The night starts with a celebration of Venturing as we award the Venturing Leadership Award, Crew of the Year, Venturer of the Year, Advisor of the Year and recognize our Summit Award recipients. Then the evening gets going. Activities include rock climbing, welding, shooting sports, music and more. The evening includes dinner. Denver Venturing Day is the second weekend of March at Donald E. Scott Colorado Adventure Point.

West Quest

The region's gathering of Venturers. Join Scouts from across the Western Region for this annual event. West Quest, a project of Western Region Venturing is held in March or April.

Fall Venturing Weekend

The annual Fall Venturing Weekend is a weekend of training and adventure. This event is planned by the youth, so you know it is bound to be awesome. Hiking, mountain biking, shooting sports and boating are just the start of what there is to offer. The weekend includes a Venturing training to support our Venturing advancement. Trainings include the Kodiak Challenge and more. This Tier 2 activity is a project of the Venturing Officers Association. The Fall Venturing Weekend is the third weekend in September at Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch.

In 2019, Venturing is teaming up with the Denver Area Council Camping Department for the 2019 Council Camporee. Register as a Venturer and take your camporee adventure to the next level. The Council Camporee is like a Jamboree wrapped up into one weekend down at Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch.

Powder Horn

Powder Horn is the vessel to sustain the spirit of the outdoors in our youth today. Along with the spirit of the outdoors, you will also gather knowledge to share, motivate and direct youth. Powder Horn will give you the necessary skills to oversee a high adventure program. It will also help you identify local resources for your group's program. Powder Horn is organized around the Venturing Program's high adventure elements and Scouts BSA High Adventure Merit Badge elements. It is intended to help adult leaders get started finding and using the resources for high adventure program.s Powder Horn is a project of the Denver Area Council.
