Day Camps

Day camps last from three to five days, and are for Scouts of any rank.  Each district in the Denver Area Council offers a day and/or evening camp, and Scouts can attend as many camps as they would like, in any city around the council.  Camps generally include BBs, archery, crafts, nature, sports, and outdoor skills.  Campers do not stay overnight.

Colorado Adventure Point also offers a variety of day camps, which focuses ranging from climbing to shooting sports to STEM activities.

Day camp dates and fees are generally announced mid-January, so check by then for more information!

Webelos Extreme Scouting Trek (W.E.S.T.) at Camp Dietler

W.E.S.T. introduces Scouts working on their Arrow of Light rank to similar outdoor adventures they will take when they cross over to Boy Scouts.  Activities include work on adventure pins, nature activities, swimming, boating, climbing, games, and BB gun and archery shooting.  Cub Scouts and their adult companions spend their session at Camp Dietler (still located at Peaceful Valley), and get the chance to set up an ideal campsite, complete with dome tents, and learn how to prepare meals while camping, all with close help from the experienced staff.

Please note that all W.E.S.T. sessions are for Scouts working on the rank of Arrow of Light.  Scouts working on the ranks of Tiger through Webelos should register for Magness Adventure Camp.
