Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch

Three Different Slices Of Paradise!

With over 3,300 acres of land, the ability for adventures at Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch is endless for Scouts of all ages.  This regional camp includes a swimming pool, two lakes, Olympic shotgun shooting range (along with world-class rifle and archery ranges), one of Colorado’s premier mountain biking courses, natural rocking climbing areas, trading post, dining hall, two themed outpost camps, and that barely scratches the surface!  Additionally, its close proximity to Colorado Springs and surround areas allow campers the ability to go white water rafting, bag a 14er, or explore caves.

Three nationally accredited  camps make up Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch, which is located at 7,000 feet in elevation near the town of Elbert, CO. They are...

Cris Dobbins

Nestled in the middle of the Black Forest, Camp Cris Dobbins offers sweeping views of Pike's Peak and the front range of the Rocky Mountains.  Scouts will have a hard time choosing between the more than 50 merit badges offered here, and will love spending time on the water slides at the outdoor pool, dusting a clay at the Olympic shotgun range, channeling their inner movie star in our Moviemaking program, or pretending to be Indiana Jones at our STEM lodge archeology dig site.  The convenience of meals from our dining hall and sleeping on raised wooden platforms in canvas wall tents will allow Scouts to focus on the only thing that matters: their next outdoor adventure!

Camp Dietler

As the sun rises and the world slowly starts to come to life, the sound of sizzling bacon on a camp stove can be heard throughout Camp Dietler as cooks from various patrols prepare breakfast.  Scouts here focus on different goals, and troops who believe summer camp is an opportunity to do more than earn merit badges frequent this little slice of paradise.  From challenges designed to strengthen patrol bonds, to camp-wide themed survival outpost nights, Camp Dietler is where boys master outdoor fundamentals, grow leadership abilities, and build character.
