Cub Scout Camping
Which Adventure Will You Choose?
Day camps last from three to five days, and are for Scouts of any rank. Each district in the Denver Area Council offers a day and/or evening camp, and Scouts can attend as many camps as they would like, in any city around the council. Camps generally include BBs, archery, crafts, nature, sports, and outdoor skills. Campers do not stay overnight.
Colorado Adventure Point also offers a variety of day camps, which focuses ranging from climbing to shooting sports to STEM activities.
Day camp dates and fees are generally announced mid-January, so check by then for more information!
Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch
With over 3,000 acres of land, the ability for adventures at Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch is endless for Cub Scouts! The ranch is available for individual unit camping September – May, with campsites, cabins, and modern facilities available for use. Additionally, packs or districts may schedule trainings or activities for things like shooting sports, aquatics, BALOO, or OWL.

Magness Adventure Camp
Looking for an adventure for the whole family? Look no further than Magness Adventure Camp! This Cub Scout family resident camp is your fun-filled, inexpensive, vacation destination. Wonderful tent camping sites and shelters with modern facilities serve as your home away from home during your stay. For meals, food is brought directly to you at your shelter, allowing you to spend quality time with your family or pack.
Family Adventure Camp at Magness Adventure Camp
During our Magness Family Adventure Camp, programs are designed for families to spend time with one another, and are less about rank advancement. The schedule is an open format, and canoeing, swimming, BB gun and archery shooting, hiking, an obstacle course, and a fire tower are just some of the fun things families can participate in.
Family Adventure Camp are open to Scouts of any rank, as well as any family members who wish to attend with them.

Resident Adventure Camps at Magness Adventure Camp
During these 4-day, 3-night sessions, Scouts will work on rank advancement in Adventure classes, and also participate in fun activities like aquatics, shooting sports, outdoor skills, and more! Parents and siblings are welcome to attend with their Cub Scout, and a variety of different activities will be available for them as well.
Please note that all Magness sessions are for Scouts working on the ranks of Tiger through Webelos. Scouts working on the Arrow of Light rank should register for W.E.S.T.

Webelos Extreme Scouting Trek (W.E.S.T.) at Camp Dietler
W.E.S.T. introduces Scouts working on their Arrow of Light rank to similar outdoor adventures they will take when they cross over to Boy Scouts. Activities include work on adventure pins, nature activities, swimming, boating, climbing, games, and BB gun and archery shooting. Cub Scouts and their adult companions spend their session at Camp Dietler (still located at Peaceful Valley), and get the chance to set up an ideal campsite, complete with dome tents, and learn how to prepare meals while camping, all with close help from the experienced staff.
Please note that all W.E.S.T. sessions are for Scouts working on the rank of Arrow of Light. Scouts working on the ranks of Tiger through Webelos should register for Magness Adventure Camp.
