Joey started the position of Camping Director for the Denver Area Council in November of 2011 and oversees all programs at Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch and Tahosa High Adventure Base. Prior to this role, he served as the Arapahoe District Director beginning in July 2007. Before moving to Colorado, Joey worked as an Executive with the Gulf Coast Council in Pensacola, FL for seven years, including five summers at Camp Director of Spanish Trail Scout Reservation. Joey is Eagle Scout from Meridian, MS with a degree in Marketing from Mississippi State University.
Mary Ann started working for the Boy Scouts on September 18, 1972. She has worked in many various positions within the Denver Area Council, serving as Field Secretary, Lead Secretary, Exploring Secretary and Trading Post Manager, to name a few. In 1993, Mary Ann became the Camping Registrar and has enjoy working with troops from both Colorado and different states ever since.
Sabine Berzins has been in the workforce for more than 20 years. She has owned and operated two small businesses and has been an office manager several times.
Sabine began her career with the Boy Scouts of America, Denver Area Council, in April 2011 as the Assistant Camping Registrar. Her current responsibilities are Cub Scout registrations for Magness Adventure Camps. Her expanded responsibilities include Big Horn, the Eagle Scout Banquet, the Council Calendar, and is the administrator for the Madden Scholarship.
2013 will be Byran's first year as Camp Director at Peaceful Valley and the start of his third year as a Professional Scouter. He is graduate of Oklahoma State University in Business Management of Leisure Studies…Go Pokes!
Bryan brings a 50 gallon drum of energy and a positive attitude to camp and hopes that all are ready for an excessively fun summer camp experience.
Charlie is looking forward to returning to Dietler after a year away, during which he served as the Medical Director for Peaceful Valley. Charlie started working at camp many years ago as a counselor-in-training and is excited to bring his knowledge and passion for camp to the Camp Director job!
2013 will be Ryan’s first year working as the Camp Director for Magness Adventure Camp. He is a Colorado native and has spent countless hours at Peaceful Valley both as a youth and as an adult. He is currently working as an Executive for the Frontier District.
Scott Field, Peaceful Valley Ranch Superintendent
Scott began his career with Peaceful Valley on December 1, 2013. Scott is graduate of the United States Naval Academy and twelve year veteran of the U.S. Navy. In addition he has owned his own residential remodeling company and worked as general manager in an automotive maintenance company. Scott is an Eagle Scout, a member of Tahosa Lodge Order of the Arrow, Wood Badge trained and Scoutmaster of Troop 794 in Littleton, CO.
Conrad Spiczka started March 1, 2007 as our Assistant Camp Ranger at Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch and was promoted to Ranger in 2013. Conrad is a Honorably Discharged Vietnam Veteran and father of an Eagle Scout. Conrad has extensive experience in construction and renovation having owned his own contracting business for 30 years.
2013 will be Collin’s second year working as the Camp Director for Tahosa. He is originally from the great state of Washington and majored in Recreation Management from Central Washington University. He is currently working as an Executive for the Arapahoe District. Collin enjoys rock climbing, camping, snowboarding, biking, traveling, and playing the guitar.
Marc was the Information Technology Manager of the Seniors' Resource Center, serving over ten years with the non-profit organization. Marc has served in a volunteer role in many positions with the Boy Scouts including the Chairman of the successful Okpik program at Camp Tahosa. In addition he is a past President of the Tahosa Alumni Association and former Centennial District Eagle Adviser. He is an active member of Troop & Crew 12 in Centennial District, serving six years as the Scoutmaster and is currently a member of the Troop Committee.
