Megan Houghton
Ranch Director - Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch

Megan started at Peaceful Valley as a CIT in 2005 at the suggestion of her Venture Crew and instantly they knew she was hooked, before she knew. She spent her first 2 summers at Camp Dobbins before getting the opportunity to join the Dietler Leadership Team (DLT) in 2007. Megan fell in love with the culture of the camp and knew she wanted to continue teaching the skills and values Scouts gain. She continued her camp career at Dietler through the summer of 2010, when she left to “go try and be an adult for a while”. In 2014, Megan was given the opportunity to return home, this time leading the DLT as the Camp Director. The honor of working with the DLT and Scouters to help Dietler thrive provided her with experiences greater than she could have imagined. After 2 summers, Megan was offered to chance take a step up and become the Ranch Director. This summer will be her second season in the role, and tenth as part of the Peaceful Valley Leadership Team. She is beyond excited to lead an amazing group of young men and women in continuing to deliver the best program Scouting has to offer.
