Scouts BSA Troop Camping on Dietler Mesa

Scouts BSA Troops register for the Council Camporee as units. The unit leader (Scoutmaster, Committee Chair, or Camping Coordinator) should make all reservations. No individual reservations will be taken for this event for Scouts BSA camping. The Camporee Committee is looking for a good faith estimate of the number of participants from your unit to reserve your campsite. Troops will be grouped by District in designated camping areas, and arrangements can be made to put related units together. Meals are the responsibility of each unit. Various food vendors will be attending, providing a variety of food Saturday. Bring some extra money to take advantage of this "Taste of PV".

Cost: $30 for each registrant, youth or adult. Price increases on June 1st to $35 per registrant

It’s a Jamboree-Like Experience – Refreshed for 2019!

We’ve taken the best experiences and activities and refreshed them for this iteration and are taking to the skies. We’re expecting to have model rocket launches, STEM activities, hands-on drone exhibits and racing, and model car off-road racing. Of course, we have traditional activities including boating on Silver Lake, mountain biking, rappelling on Ship Rock, and a variety of Cub Scout and Scouts BSA Action Centers. We’ll also be holding a shooting sports tournament to determine the best Scout marksman. Remember the bubble-wrap popping? We’re hoping to set another Guinness World Record or two with a couple different stunts.

We’ve also revamped the Arena Show, to make it a party-like celebration of the Scouting Movement in Colorado. We’ve hired the Diamond Empire Band to bring high-energy music, nailing down a great guest speaker, and are looking to update the finale show with something spectacular.

The Council Camporee is for Boy Scouts, Venturers, Cub Scouts & Families. Troops and Crews camp all weekend, Cub Scouts & Families camp Saturday night. Or, just come for the Day on Saturday!

New this year – Enamel Lapel Pins! Collect and Trade!!

New this year is Pin Trading! 2019 will be the Year of the Pin as Scouts and Scouters can collect and trade enamel pins. Major Camporee event areas will have a "pin segment" available for activity participants, Midway vendors will have pins, and each youth participant will receive a District-specific custom-designed Camporee themed pin to collect and trade. Throughout next year other groups will be producing pins as well – the Order of the Arrow, Summer Camp, NYLT, Wood Badge, and District events – so keep a look-out for opportunities to get pins early to expand their collection. Many Cub Packs, Scouts BSA Troops, and Venture Crews are designing their own pins as well – consider producing one for your unit and really stand out at Camporee.

Pin Design Contest!!!

The Council Camporee will be a hot-bed of pin trading, and we want Scouts to help design the official District Pins that will be provided to everyone that attends! Each scout that attends Campore will receive two of their district pins—one to keep and one to trade. So, we need awesome pins for an awesome event! The Challenge: Design a pin that captures the spirit of #BlastOffDAC, your District, and Scouts BSA.
