2010 Centennial National Jamboree Please join the Denver Area Council Contingent to the 2010 Centennial National Jamboree at Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia. This event is one of the most significant in a Scout's career, joining 250 Scouts from Denver and 45,000 Scouts from the United States and foreign countries.
The Council contingent will tour east coast historic locations for 6-8 days and then join the Jamboree for 10 days. Our contingent will include 7 troops, each comprised of 36 Boy Scouts and 4 adult Scout leaders. Boys must be 1st Class and 12 years of age by July 1, 2010, but not have reached their 18th birthday by August 4, 2010. Troops have been formed and will begin operations including development of adult leadership, boy leadership, committee support, fund raising, planning, fellowship and great Scouting! We expect the cost of this event to be $2,500 per Scout. Extensive fund raising activity is planned in order to assist all Scouts to cover the costs. Scholarship support will be available on an individual situation basis. The Denver Area Council Jamboree Contingent still has openings available. To be assigned to a troop, you must first register with the National Council. Please follow the instructions below.To submit an application for the 2010 National Scout Jamboree, go to www.MyScouting.org and log in. After logging in, go to "Event Reservations" then "Jamboree". Then choose the Youth Participant or the Adult Troop Leader Application link. When submitting the application, there will be a $10 nonrefundable processing fee payable by credit card. This is not part of the jamboree fee if you are selected to attend the jamboree. The Council is planning to send eight troops to the Centennial Jamboree, each consisting of 36 Scouts and 4 Scouters. The Troop Scoutmasters are: Jamboree PaymentsScouts enrolled as a participant in a Jamboree troop are responsible for this fee schedule. Should a Scout need to withdraw from the Jamboree Contingent for any reason, the contingent leaders will work with the Scout and his family to return fees paid subject to the following. - The withdrawing Scout will receive a full refund if the Scout is 1) current with payments according to the fee payment schedule, 2) another Scout is recruited to take his place,and 3 provided that all available slots in the contingent are full.
- If a replacement is not found, the withdrawing Scout will receive a partial refund for amounts paid, and which have not been obligated by the Contingent for expenses, e.g., the $795 for the Jamboree fee, air reservations, the Scout's share of other equipment to be used by the Contingent.

- Click on Logon (last item on the left side of screen).
- If you don't know your User ID and/or Password, then get it here. To obtain your Password, enter your User ID. To obtain your User ID, enter your email address. If the system finds a user profile associated with that email address it will send the User ID and Password. Note it is possible that for a given email address there are multiple user profiles in which case you will be emailed multiple User ID's and Passwords.
- Select "View Registrations". This will show you the registrations you currently own and can make changes or payments to. Select your Jamboree registration (View Details) from this list.
- Select the Make Payment button.
- Select your method of payment and enter the appropriate information.
If your Jamboree Registration does not appear on this list, it is possible you are not the "owner". Please contact Ginnie Brandsma for assistance.
