2010 National Veterans Wheelchair Games

With the availablity of sports venue and the accessibility of the city, Denver has been selected to host the 2010 National Veterans Wheelchair Games.  This is the largest annually occuring wheelchair sports event in the world including disabled veterans from all over the United States, Great Britain and Puerto Rico. 

Run like the Olympics, the Games introduce wheelchair sports to newly injured veterans and participants range from those recently injured in Iraq or Afghanistan to those in World War II.  A schedule of events is attached.

Scout volunteering opportunities are many and range from behind the scenes assistance to direct athlete support.  Scouts with qualifying hours of service will receive a patch.
