Boy Scout Leaders
Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training is for all Scoutmasters and their assistants. Boy Scout leaders also must complete Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills training to be considered fully trained. Both trainings will be required by all registered leaders for the 2013 re-charter.
This training is divided into four parts. The first three parts concentrate on troop operation and can be completed in one full day or three evenings. The fourth part, which focuses on outdoor skills, lasts approximately a day and a half, depending on the skill level of the new leader. A leader is considered trained upon completion of Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training and Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills.
This course will be offered every Tuesday at Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch during the Summer Camping season.
