In the early days of BSA, units were organized by resourceful individuals who sometimes had to acquire the materials from England and other places to make scouting happen. These first organizers were comisssioners. In 1916 some of these commissioner were asked to become Scout Executives. A few accepted the position and the Field Executive was born. This shift eventually led to the seperation of the roles of the executives and commissioner. This began the partnership between volunteers and professionals that exist still today.

Come and find out about your position as an Assitant District Commissioner or District Commissioner.

The training will be held at Denver Area Council, BSA Headquarters in the Tahosa and Finance Conference rooms
