John G. Cabeza is retiring March 1, 2020 after 44 years of service to Scouting. For the past 10 years, John’s leadership and commitment to the Denver Area Council has been second to none. He began his Scouting career in May 1976 as a District Executive in the Occoneechee Council in Raleigh, North Carolina. Prior to his arrival in Denver, he served as Scout Executive in the Southeast Louisiana Council, New Orleans, Louisiana (4 ½ years); West Central Florida Council, Seminole, Florida (7 years); and the Norwela Council in Shreveport, Louisiana (5 years).
John is an Eagle Scout, Vigil member of the Order of the Arrow, and is a James E. West Fellow. John and his wife, Donna, have four children, and one future Eagle Scout grandson.
We thank John for his dedication and leadership and wish him well as he embarks upon an new adventure.
