The Silver Beaver Award is the highest honor the Denver Area Council, Boy Scouts of America can bestow upon a volunteer Scouter in recognition of distinguished service to youth. The recipients will not only be judged on their outstanding volunteer service with the Boy Scouts of America, but their overall service to other organizations within our community.
The nomination forms will be reviewed by a committee comprised of previously selected Silver Beaver honorees and community leaders familiar with the Scouting program. Final approval of the committee’s recommendations will be by the National Court of Honor.
In order to avoid disappointment, please do not reveal to the nominee that they are being
considered for this award. Silver Beaver recipients will be notified by Certified Mail from the
Council Service Center after the Silver Beaver Selection Committee has made its recommendations
and final approval granted.
