The Denver Area Council (DAC), Boy Scouts of America, is a chartered organization of the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America. The DAC is an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and all donated funds to the Council stay in DAC communities to support local Scouting programs. The DAC strives to train youth in citizenship, character development, and self-reliance through programs that include a wide range of outdoor activities, educational endeavors, and, at older age levels, career-oriented programs that are presented in partnership with community organizations. Investing in the DAC means investing in the youth and future leaders of our community.
DAC’s development team facilitates several fundraising events with sponsorship opportunities throughout the year. Funds from these events are used to support DAC camperships, programs, and activities. Annual events handled by the development team include:

With access to quality Scouting programs and resources, youth in Denver can learn how to be prepared and to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes. Scouting provides quality youth programs that build character while building better communities. Giving to the DAC and investing in the character of future leaders helps provide funding for items such as uniforms, camping experiences, and training for volunteers.
