Join the Denver Area Council on Friday, May 20 for its annual Sporting Clays Invitational held at Charles S. McNeil Scout Ranch at Peaceful Valley.
All proceeds from the Clays event support capital projects at the two Scout camps owned and operated by the Denver Area Council: Charles S. McNeil Scout Ranch at Peaceful Valley and Tahosa High Adventure Base.
The Sporting Clays is a premier shooting event. It is open to all levels of shotgun shooters from beginner to advanced. The course is designed to simulate the flight of the game in actual field conditions. Many have compared it to “golfing” but with a shotgun! It’s a perfect way to have a fun day of shooting, fellowship, and the opportunity to network with other business and community leaders.
Shooters compete at the DAC’s exclusive Sporting Clays course at McNeil Scout Ranch at Peaceful Valley. This is one of the few times of the year that the course is available to the public. Shooters are invited to participate in various side games, in a raffle for a chance to win various items from firearms to outdoor gear, and enjoy a delicious catered meal.
